Psalms 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Six of the nine are Psalms, and the promise is company rather than immunity. Psalm 23:4 does not spare you the valley; it spares you walking it alone. Isaiah 54:17 is the one that sounds like a shield.
